After three successful events organized jointly by DMG MORI Ultrasonic Lasertec and the Ernst Abbe University of Applied Sciences Jena over the last few years, the Scientific Forum on Ultrasonic Machining will be held again in June. This year, the seminar with several presentations from research and industry takes place in Stipshausen at the DMG MORI site as part of the Technology Days for Ultrasonic Grinding by Advanced Materials. On 5 and 6 June 2024, guests will be able to learn more, discuss and experience this special processing technology through live demonstrations on several machines over two conference days (Wednesday in German, Thursday in English). Sebastian Henkel from the EAH Jena will also present results of a sub-project of UKPino, focusing on ultra-fine grinding of glass and non-destructive measurement of SSD (subsurface damage).
